This page is under construction and art therapy sessions will be available towards the end of 2016. For now, take advantage of my art and wellness workshops featured on previous pages.
Art Therapy Workshops, Individual and Group Sessions Will Soon be Available.
As a new independent contracting art therapist in Volusia County, Florida I am here to serve the community.
How can I help?
Art therapy sessions are catered to the individual or group. Whether a child or adult, young or old, art therapy is a way back to self expression in a way that safely helps one attain personal growth. Whether you paint, draw or want to work three dimensionally, art interventions can be designed to meet you and/or your loved ones needs.
When creativity aligns with therapeutic goals, you or your loved one can work alone or with family members to help reduce stress while building skills.
Who interprets the artwork? The answer is the client does! There is no better interpreter of artwork than the artist. An art therapist can only point out certain graphic indicators. The real interpreter of artwork is the client who creates the work. The client can learn how to tell his or his own story through metaphors and visual expression. The art therapist is able to help the client to learn how to do this. The art therapist can help clients to help themselves and find their own answers.
The art therapist works side by side with the client attending to the journey of the client who is ready to become self realized. Please contact me for any concerns or ethical considerations and guidelines set by the American Art Therapy Association (AATA).
